Often, people are put into a situation where they have to toe the line and agree with decisions that were made, even though those decisions appear wrong.

Aren’t you allowed to ask questions?

Aren’t you allowed to see clarifications?

After World War II, many of the German people attempted to rationalize their support of Hitler and the Nazis by saying, “We were just following orders.” Such people invited others to sarcastically describe them as, “good Germans.”

Start with asking questions before you toe the line. Speak the truth.

You don’t need to be a renegade to speak the truth.

If the other side is proven right, admit it.

Leaders love to hear that they were right and that someone else was wrong.

More importantly, there’s a lesson in your mistake, a lesson in what you missed, a lesson in your miscalculation that may help you in the future.

Just don’t be one of those complainers who everyone learns to loathe during this period. Doing that would come back to hurt you.
