We were trained to be “nice people.”

Follow directions.

Be a “team player.”

Follow directions.

Sit at your desk.

Shut up.

Do what we tell you to do.

Regurgitate information when we tell you to do it.

Or else . . .

The first threat is you won’t get good grades.

Without good grades, you won’t get into a good college.

Without good grades at a good college, you’ll get a job, but it won’t be a good job.

We get the job, and the message many people get is to continue to do what they tell you to do when they tell you to do it

A lifetime of following directions.

Nice lambs.

Sometimes, an organization needs someone who will break some furniture to change what is happening.

Sometimes, organizations need fire in the belly again instead of nice people.

The problem often is that the nice people are scared by the fiery people.

The fiery people rock the boat.
