Are You Ready to Return to the Office?
By Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter
I don’t want to say that the pandemic is over, but in the United States, we appear to be entering a new phase. Approximately 2/3 of the adult population has received at least one dose of one of the major vaccines available.
Mask mandates for outdoor and indoor situations are being lifted, reflecting new guidance from the Center for Disease Control. I started to poll before that announcement.
If your employer contacted you to say that they want everyone back in the office, what would your thoughts be?
Are you ready to return to your office to work or want to stay remote exclusively?
I did not expect anyone to comment because it might cause a problem at the office. After all, people are connected to their bosses, managers, co-workers, HR professionals, a whole host of people where they might be afraid to “get into trouble” for voicing their opinion.
I was right about that.
Here are the choices and results:
Yes! I can’t wait! 13%
No! Let’s stay working remote. 42%
Hybrid! 46%
What’s very clear is that in the United States, no one is ready to go to work at an office full time.
